‘City trip’ to Monschau
Today we visited the beautiful town of Monschau. After four days of walking in nature, it felt strange to be among people again. Not that it was busy, but after a few days in nature we managed o get disconnected from a more busy life. But, the visit was worthwhile, as Monschau is truly pittoreske.
Walking the streets I noticed some bronze statues. One I could use to photograph some unaware people, something I struggle with in street photography.
Monschau has some chapels and churches, they are always good for a more quiet moment.
Climbing up to the hills gave a good view of the city and the castle. Plus some more intimate scenes of narrow alleys.
Up at the castle, old meets new. I can never make up my mind about this.
On our way back I took a shot from the hip from this fellow.
And beware of spiders … they can be big in this town 😂.
All in all we had a fantastic day at Monschau. Here’s is one of the many selfies we took 😊.
