Walking along the Rur valley
Today, the weather was mainly dry, after some morning showers. We decided to go for a walk along the Rur valley. Using Komoot we found a trail that we could follow. After a few kilometers we decided to deviate from it thou, as we preferred to walk as much as possible possible along the Rur river.
It was truly a spectacular 10 km walk. Sometimes we needed steady footing, especially on the slippery rocks on the slopes, but for the most part, the path was easy to follow.
We had many photo opportunities at the river banks, which we used to the max. Still, this walk felt like a scouting trip, as I’d like to come back with tripod and filters, to try my hand on some long exposures to smooth the water, or polariser to take some of the sheen from the foliage.
And here are some of the photos we made of the scenery. There are many more photos to go through once back home.
