Traveling to Schiermonnikoog
So the day has finally arrived: the start of my photography retreat. I’m super stoked about what I may find and my progress throughout this period. But first, today was traveling time. My loving wife drove me up to Lauwersoog from Bemmel where I then took the ferry to the island. The trip wasn’t too bad, except for the continuous rain. But all went fine so no complaints here. The apartment at Vita Maris is cosy, clean and of good quality, this will be my home for the next two weeks. After some shopping I went for my first walk. Nothing too fancy just up and down to the lighthouse and beach, totaling 3.7 km. And I took my first photos! Nothing too fancy either but always good to have those first shots in the pocket 😊.
